| 1. Clean Water Tank |
Insert the back of the flex hose clip into the opening on the front of the machine until it clicks into place
Attach the flex hose storage bracket by sliding the lower plate into the opening on the back of the machine and inserting the screw. Use a Phillips head screwdriver to tighten.
Wrap the hose around the machine and secure the end into the storage bracket. Turn the latch clockwise to lock it into place.
Using warm tap water (140°F, 60°C MAX) will help to get the best clean. Fill to the FORMULA line and then add in WATER to the fill line. Using water that is too hot can cause deformities to the clean water tank which can impact machine performance.

Remove any solids with a dry vacuum cleaner in the desired cleaning area before using your portable carpet and upholstery cleaner. This will prevent objects or material from clogging your machine and will reduce the likelihood of failures with your machine while cleaning.
If desired, spray any BISSELL stain pretreat formula on soiled areas and allow to sit for a few minutes.
Release the hose from the flex hose clip and twist the cord wrap to remove the cord.
To dispense water / cleaning solution from your machine, hold the spray trigger on the handle. Holding the spray trigger allows the machine to prime and ensures a steady flow while cleaning. Allow 30 seconds for the pump to prime, once primed the machine will start to spray.
For best results, hold the tool a few inches above the spot or stain and press the spray trigger to treat the stain. Once the stain has been sprayed thoroughly, release the spray trigger and use the scrubbing portion of the tool to gently scrub the stain.
After scrubbing the stain, suction up the mess by tilting the tool forward allowing the suction channel to make solid contact with the surface and slowly move the tool in a backwards direction over the mess. Continue this process until the stain is removed or until no more water can be seen entering the nozzle on the tool.
You may need to re-fill the clean water tank or empty the dirty water tank during your cleaning session. If the dirty water tank gets full during cleaning, you may notice a change in sound of your machine, and a loss of suction. This is an indicator that the dirty water tank needs to be emptied.
Once cleaning is completed, turn the machine OFFAfter cleaning, or when your dirty water tank is full, empty and clean the dirty water tank. Do not let water fill beyond "FULL" line.
Empty the dirty water tank by slowly tilting the tank into a disposal area. Once the tank is empty, rinse the tank to remove any loose debris.
Reinstall tank onto the machine and press down on the dirty water tank retainer lever until it clicks.
